Atlanta is investing more than $350,000 to improve its closed circuit TV (CCTV) system. Mayor Kasim Reed announced on Tuesday a series of enhancements to the city’s Operation Shield Video Integration Center (VIC) that, he said, will increase the city’s police department coverage. The improvements are being funded through the Renew Atlanta infrastructure bond program.

Funding from the Renew Atlanta infrastructure bond program has allowed the City of Atlanta to invest more than $350,000 in technology enhancements to the Loudermilk Video Integration Center. The upgraded technology includes a new high resolution video wall.
