Mayor Reed Announces $4.4 Million for New Public Art in Atlanta

On November 22, Mayor Kasim Reed announced the acquisition of new public art for the City of Atlanta. The Atlanta City Council unanimously approved an ordinance authorizing the city to acquire nine new pieces of art in Downtown, Midtown and Southwest Atlanta, for a total investment of nearly $4.4 million. The acquisition is funded by Renew Atlanta, which mandates that a portion of infrastructure spending goes toward public art.
